Training and Education Opportunities
Band 6 Deputy sister / charge nurse leadership programme.
This programme runs twice a year Jan to June and June to December. It involves six full study days 1 per month over 6 months; action learning and the development of a service improvement project within your clinical setting.
The programme is run in-house and can be at city or queens dependent on room availability. The programme is for band 6 nurses who are clinically based and are responsible for managing a team.
The programme offers the opportunity for deputy sister/charge nurses to explore and develop their role as clinical leaders and implement a measurable change in their area of practice which will impact positively on patient outcome and experience.

Dementia Training for Clinical Staff
This is a full day training usually runs monthly (approx. 25 places available on each day). The training is delivered in-house and can be at city or queens dependent on room availability.
Training is suitable for ALL clinical staff. Registered and non- registered nurses and registered and non-registered allied health professionals.
The aim of the training is to support staff in developing their skills and knowledge about caring for people with dementia in the acute hospital setting.

Free on-line course
Future Learn offer free on-line course ranging from Mindfulness to developing e-learning resources for use in health. It is available to all staff and training varies from 20 minutes session to fully facilitated courses.
